Le Colorado Provençal

This is old ocher quarries located in the municipalities of Roussillon and Rustrel in the Luberon. Just like the little villages in the land of tan, as Roussillon in the Vaucluse, the Luberon region has a very special mineral formation and recognizable by its bright colors ranging from yellow to red. Moreover, the reliefs appear very steep due to severe erosion. Therefore we find canyons and chimneys that give this part of Provence on the appearance of American Grand Canyon in which we immediately want to venture.

Les Dentelles de Montmirail

Located in the north of the department, in the Vaucluse, this mountain is characterized by the division of his very strong rock. Le Théâtre Antique d'Orange

Go back in time to discover the untouched heart of Provence, one of the most beautiful theaters in Imperial Rome, erected in the first century during the reign of Augustus. Its stage wall (37 m high and 103 m long), is one of the best preserved of the Roman world, the monument and place among the greatest testimony of all ancient Rome. It has a large capacity (9000 seats) and is reused since the nineteenth century when the outdoor theater was reopened in the city.

Le Palais des Papes d'Avignon

The Palais des Papes, the sumptuous building XIV century, is the largest Gothic palace in Europe. This palace was the seat of Christianity from the fourteenth century to the eighteenth century, and has seen a succession of seven popes. The boldness of its architecture and its rich painted decoration testify to its glorious past.

Le Pont d'Avignon

By the famous children's rhyme ("Sur le pont d'Avignon, on y danse, on y danse..."), the Pont St Benezet is also the oldest structure built on the Rhone. It actually dates from the XIIth century. 900 m long and 22 arches in the beginning, he collapsed during the reign of Louis XIV and was never rebuilt. Therefore it remains today a part of the book, the closest to the center of Avignon.

Gorges de la Nesque

The route of the gorge is beautiful, it connects Sault to Villes-sur-Auzon. It is little used by cars because the shortest route to reach these villages through the neck of the Bees. There are also four smaller tunnels that prevent the passage of trucks and trailers. The road surface is perfect.
